I teach yoga in schools and nursery schools. I have experience teaching children from 2 years to 18 years. Please email to book or discuss.
Classes include yoga poses, sun salutations, breathing exercises, yoga games, story telling using yoga poses, yoga nidra for relaxation & meditation.
'Kiki taught yoga to the Reception class as part of our Yogathon Day. The children loved telling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears through yoga poses, even getting me involved! The kids were engaged, focused and happy throughout the session. They loved exploring the different shapes they could make. Kiki has a great passion and talent for sharing yoga with children.
As well as being thoroughly enjoyable, Kiki's sessions provide many learning and development opportunities. They link in extremely well with the government’s curriculum for children from birth to age 5 – the Early Years Foundation Stage across areas such as Communication & Language, Physical Development and Expressive Arts & Design:
Initiates new combinations of movement and gesture in order to express and respond to feelings, ideas and experiences.
Children show good control and co-ordination in large and small movements.
Children move confidently in a range of ways.
Experiments with different ways of moving.
They listen to stories, accurately anticipating key events and respond to what they hear with relevant comments, questions or actions.
Able to follow a story without pictures or props.
Plays cooperatively as part of a group to develop and act out a narrative.'

'I was thoroughly impressed. You have such a great rapport with the students, and they were having a ball (which hasn't always been the case with the younger kids in yoga choice). Thanks so much for all your work with them.'
